After the launch of the “Tucumán Alert” program in the Ciudadela and Sitravi neighborhoods, the Minister of Security, Claudio Maley, met today with the legislator Geronimo Vargas
Aignasse to advance the implementation of the mobile application that is connected to the 911 Emergency System and the Patrol Quadrant Program, and seeks to provide a rapid police response to an emergency.
“We met with legislator Vargas Aignasse to jointly articulate how we are going to continue advancing in the area of the Capital with the Tucumán Alert program and its articulation with the Patrol Quadrants program. We are evaluating, through a criminal analysis, to include around three more neighborhoods in the coming weeks, that is to say that between 400 and 500 more neighbors will be able to count on this preventive security program ”, explained the Undersecretary of Security, Jose Ardiles, who participated in the meeting.
It should be remembered that the Bassap application of the Tucumán Alert program has seven buttons: “Emergency Alarm”, “Gender Violence”, “Anti-kidnapping”, “I Got Well”, “Civil Defense”, “107” and “Firefighters”.
In some cases, a neighborhood alarm is activated on the loudspeaker, while in other cases the alert only reaches the cell phones of neighbors and those in the area.
In all cases, the geolocated alert will arrive at 911, which will allow the Police to appear at the scene in a few minutes.
“We are working in a joint and coordinated way to provide the greatest peace of mind to the neighbor,” concluded Ardiles, after the meeting that took place at the Ministry of Security.
