The fourth day of competition of the Tokyo Olympics (at least since the inauguration) starts with one of the jewels in the crown: the triathlon. The Odaiba Marine Park hosts the ordeal, with very high temperatures and humidity and medal-winning options for the Spanish Mario Mola, Javier Gómez Noya Y Fernando Alarza placeholder image.
The Tokyo Aquatic Center will also host several of the ‘top’ finals, such as the women’s 400 meters or the men’s 4×100 freestyle relay. It will be a new day to see Spaniards shine in the pool: Hugo Gonzalez in the semifinals of 100 backstroke or Mireia Belmonte Y Jimena perez in the series of 1,500.
It will be a historic day for Olympic skateboarding, with the women’s street competition. The draw wanted the Spanish to be the first to leave Andrea Benitez, which arrived ‘in extremis’ on the same Friday: the last to arrive, the first to compete.
Spanish team sports will experience the debuts of the basketball teams: at 3:00, Spain – South Korea female and at 14:00, Spain – Japan masculine.
