The state oil company YPF reported that with 13,000 cubic meters of lubricants distributed during the month of June, the volume of Lubricants shipments increased by 90% since April, the most critical moment since the start of the pandemic with circulation restrictions.
The company reported that, in June 2021, the Lubricantes y Especialidades Industrial Complex (CILE) located in the Ensenada “La Plata Refinery”, distributed in the domestic and foreign market more than 13,000 cubic meters of lubricants, mainly the Elaion product; marking a recovery that even exceeds the distribution levels of before the pandemic.
During 2020, YPF’s CILE operations covered 38% of our country’s demand, in addition to producing, distributing and marketing lubricants for countries in the region such as Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador, Paraguay, Bolivia and Peru.
Likewise, almost 40% of the vehicles manufactured in Argentina use lubricants made in this Plant with advanced technology, which allows it to produce large volumes of lubricants of different formulations according to their uses.
Within YPF’s La Plata Refinery, CILE has 320 workers, a Single Distribution Center and the capacity to store 14,000 cubic meters of the approximately 200 available formulations and the distribution logistics to dispatch them throughout the country.
