There is movement again in a possible transfer of Marko Arnautovic to Italy.
As the “Gazzetta dello Sport” reports, FC Bologna is now in negotiations with Shanghai Port. In the past few weeks, the Serie A club allegedly had problems contacting the Viennese’s employer because it was only possible through intermediaries.
Apparently the Chinese are now asking for a € 4 million transfer fee for the striker, Bologna is currently said to offer € 2 million. Until a few days ago, the Italians assumed that they would be able to sign the ÖFB star free of charge.
Accordingly, the transfer demands pose problems for the “Rossoblu”. The plan should now be to adjust the contract with the 32-year-old accordingly. Originally, the club and Arnautovic are said to have agreed on a three-year contract with an annual salary of 2.7 million euros. Bologna now apparently wants to offer Arnautovic a three-year contract with an option for another season, albeit at a slightly reduced income.
