In the middle of the fifth wave, Almost 60% of Spaniards are in favor of tightening restrictions imposed by the authorities to try to control the health situation.
The data is reflected in the CIS published this morning, in which citizens were asked about their perception of the pandemic. Asked “if they think it is necessary to take more demanding control and isolation measures, as has been done, or if it can continue as we are”, specifically, 56.1% are in favor of taking more demanding measures. On the contrary, only a 28% thinks that we should continue as we are.
This question is launched only a few days after the autonomous communities intensify their criticism of the government for relaxing restrictions too quickly. Just yesterday, governments like the Basque Country They have already formally asked the Sánchez executive to reapply the state of alarm and the mandatory nature of outdoor masks.
Another question asked in the survey formulates: “Thinking about all the effects of this pandemic, would you say that the coronavirus crisis worries you a lot, a lot, a little or nothing?”
The vast majority of respondents, practically 90% say they are still very worried with the pandemic and its economic and health effects.
However, the survey published by Tezanos today, on the contrary, reflects that 60% of those surveyed believe that the worst moments of the pandemic are over, and that therefore we are in a better situation than in previous months.
Acceptance of vaccines
One of the most recurrent questions in the CIS in recent months has been the acceptance of vaccines by the population.
In the poll published in December, when the vaccination campaign was starting, almost a third of Spaniards said they did not want to be vaccinated when his turn came. Little by little, this figure has been reduced as vaccination progressed in our country.
In the one published this week, corresponding to the month of July, when 50% of the population already has the complete vaccination schedule, only 10% affirm that they will not be vaccinated when their turn comes, and 81% affirm that they will do so as soon as they are contacted.
