A woman died and another person is in critical condition after a multiple accident that occurred this Sunday on the AP-7, near L’Ampolla (Tarragona), in which they have been involved a truck, a van and three cars.
The Catalan Traffic Service reported in a statement that the causes of the accident were still unknown, recorded at around 8 p.m. at kilometer 307 of the AP-7 motorway.
In the collision the driver of one of the vehicles involved died and another person was seriously injured and was transferred in critical condition to the Joan XXIII hospital.
He also went to the aforementioned hospital at five people who were slightly injured in the event.
As a result of the accident, four patrols of the Mossos d’Esquadra were activated, five crews of the Firefighters of the Generalitat and five ambulances of the Medical Emergency System (SEM).
With this, there are already 70 people who have died this year in traffic accidents in Catalonia, 24 of which were motorists.
