A total of 21 provinces will be this Saturday in yellow (risk) and orange (major risk) level warning for heat, on a day in which a rise in temperatures is expected in much of the Peninsula and in the Canary Islands, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet for this July 17.

Specifically, notices have been decreed in: Cordoba (which may reach 40C), Granada (39C), Jan (39C), Sevilla (39C), Salamanca (37c), Zamora (36C), vila (39C), Toledo ( 40C), Albacete (37C), Ciudad Real (38C), Cuenca (37C), Guadalajara (36C), Cceres (40C), Badajoz (40C), Lleida (35C), Valencia (36C), Lugo (36C), Orense (36C), Pontevedra (34C), A Corua (34C) and Madrid (37C).

According to Aemet, temperatures will rise in much of the Peninsula and in the Canary Islands, and notably in the Strait area. Likewise, it expects that the maximums will exceed 34-36 degrees in the interior of the southern half of the peninsula, interior of Galicia, the lower Duero basin, depressions of the northeast of the peninsula and the Canary Islands, being able exceed 40 degrees in the valleys of the Tagus, Guadiana and Guadalquivir.

This Saturday the skies will be slightly cloudy or clear in most of the country. A few morning low clouds are only expected in the area of ​​the Strait, Melilla, northern Canary Islands, and may be accompanied by banks of fog in the early hours, in scattered areas of the Cantabrian area and northern Galicia.

Regarding the wind, an eastern component is expected in the south of the Mediterranean area, the Cantabrian coast and, with some strong interval, on the northern coast of Galicia, tending to weak on the Alborn coast.
