Manzur, on the fight for the official list: "my head is not set on politics"

The governor Juan Manzur today minimized the dispute within Peronism for the selection of candidates for senators and national deputies. “There is a long time until July 24,” replied the president, when asked about the claim of the lieutenant governor Osvaldo Jaldo so that this space is part of the official list.

“People do not want to hear about politics, they want to know that Tucumán has more than a million vaccines, and that we are going to continue vaccinating,” he said during an official ceremony. “Today, my head is not on politics, but on caring for and vaccinating people from Tucumán. There is a long way to go until 24 ”, he insisted.

At the same time, Manzur alluded to a saying to refer to the names that resonate in the Government House and that could be part of the government’s payroll. “You know the water that will run until the 24th … There is a long way to go,” he ironized. Then, he highlighted the performance of Rossana Chahla at the head of the Ministry of Health in the middle of a pandemic, in addition to his professional career.

Manzur stressed that “the meetings are open and we will continue to comply with the protocol”, referring to the partisan acts that could be carried out during the electoral campaign in the province and in the midst of the restrictions confirmed today by the Emergency Operational Committee ( COE), such as the prohibition of social gatherings.

In addition to calling for unity in Peronism with a view to national legislative elections, “True Peronism”, led by the president of the Legislature, defined yesterday that the Monterrey legislator Juan Antonio Ruiz Olivares go as a candidate for senator in the first term, while the current national deputy Gladys medina seek re-election in the open primaries of the Frente de Todos, to confront the manzurismo.

Jaldo confirmed that he will convene a plenary session to finish defining the list of candidates. “The debate always takes place within the space, we want to offer the people of Tucumán an internship within the Frente de Todos where ideas prevail, always with respect and with the sole objective that the people of Tucumán can choose the best proposals within our space, guaranteeing thus the governance of Alberto (Fernandez) and of Cristina (Fernandez) ”, He said.

Manzur responded to the press that “he did not follow the Jaldismo movement” and that “he was not interested in what the opposition was doing.” “It is not an issue of mine,” he emphasized.
