"Chub" Gómez leaves the Jaldista bloc and joins the Manzurista bench

A meeting at Government House and an unexpected pass in the middle of a Peronist intern. Carlos “Cacho” Gomez, the legislator who until now was part of the Jaldista bloc of the Frente Justicialista de Todos, will now go to Peronist Loyalty, the space that responds to the governor Juan Manzur. “I have always fought for the unity of Peronism and I have always recognized the leadership of our governor together with the people who are part of my team,” Gómez told LA GACETA after the meeting with the provincial president.

Gómez has been a communal commissioner in his hometown, Manuela Pedraza (Simoca Department), between 2003 and 2015. Then he served as undersecretary of inspection, control and management of the Ministry of the Interior until he was elected legislator for the Eastern section, hand in hand of a coupling by the party of Justice and Victory. After the bid for the ombdusman, the parliamentarian stood behind the bench of the lieutenant governor Osvaldo Jaldo.

“I cannot go against the governor or the people who have helped me get the bank. As the governor said, Peronism must be united after a management that has just reached the application of a million vaccines,” said the legislator. Gomez said that he is certain that he is doing the right thing and that, in the block pass, the decision was shared with his work team.

“Cacho returned to the place where he should never have gone, because he is an organic leader, with a long history and militancy,” said the head of the Executive Power and the Tucumán Justicialista Party. “In difficult times like the ones we are experiencing, each one knows that he must support the management and that is what this columnization implies,” he added.
