António Costa leaves on Friday morning for Luanda, arriving at the end of the afternoon, having already participated with the Portuguese head of State and with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, at 19:00, in the gala dinner on the occasion of his 25th birthday. founding the CPLP.

According to a diplomatic source, on Saturday, at 10:00 am, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Luanda, the opening ceremony of the XIII Summit of CPLP Heads of State and Government is scheduled to begin.

The summit opens with a welcome speech by the President of Angola, João Lourenço, followed by a brief speech by the head of State of Cape Verde, Jorge Fonseca, a country that ends his presidency “pro tempore” of the community.

The formal work of the summit should start at 10:30, with the swearing in of the Angolan head of State as president “pro tempore” of the CPLP for the biennium 2021-2023.
