The fastest method of transport to travel right now from Atocha to Parla is by car. As collected Google MapsTraveling from the center of the capital to the Madrid municipality will take you 27 minutes if you travel on the A-42. A total of 24.5 kilometers that will allow you to connect the famous train station with one of the most iconic municipalities in the community. However, not everyone wants to drive into the center of Madrid.
While some fear facing the traffic of the Spanish capital, others simply lack a car because they understand that it is not necessary in a city of this size. For the same reason, people who rely on public transport to get to the city center each day are in the thousands. Among them is Rebe, who asked Cercanías Madrid for help just a few days ago through social networks to be able to travel from the city center to the well-known Madrid municipality: “Hello, how can I get to Parla from Atocha? Thanks”.
The odyssey to get to Parla from Atocha
Several hours later, the Cercanías Madrid Twitter account responded with indications that augured an adventure at the height of Tolkien’s novels. In the first place, the person responsible for the Madrid Cercanías networks suggested that he travel by train to Villaverde Alto and, once this was done, make a transfer to trains to Las Margaritas. But the thing was not there. As explained by the Cercanías account, in Las Margaritas he would have to take a bus to Getafe Sector Three.
And this would not be the only bus he would have to take. As Cercanías Madrid explained through the tweet, after arriving in Getafe Sector Tres, he would have to take a shuttle that would finally take him to his destination. A series of indications that caused the laughter of hundreds of Twitter users, who made Parla become one of the most prominent topics of the day thanks to the odyssey to reach the capital.
Cercanías deletes the tweet and offers a new route
While some compared the trip between the two municipalities with The Lord of the Rings, evoking the mythical journey to destroy the One Ring, others did it with Indiana Jones. Some joked with the fact that they entered Atocha as babies to reach Parla when they were elderly and others that it should be the new route of the Camino de Santiago. All kinds of jokes to remember an error that has disappeared from social networks in a matter of hours.
After Parla became a Trending Topic, Cercanías Madrid decided to delete the tweet and offer a somewhat simpler route: “Sorry for the error in the previous answer.” On this occasion, the company recommended that he take a train from Atocha to Villaverde Bajo and, once there, get on a special service bus bound for Parla.
Good morning Rebbe. Sorry for the mistake in the previous answer. The easiest way is to take trains from Atocha to Villaverde Bajo and at this station take a special service bus to Parla. To return to Atocha the route is the same.
