In the middle of a political storm Artur Mas has escaped on vacation on a busy weekend. The former president of the Generalitat traveled with his wife, Helena Rakosnik, to Ibiza and Formentera from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 invited by his friend and businessman Marcel Pacual Forns. The trip took place on the same Friday that it was learned that the one who was Jordi Pujol’s ‘dolphin’ had appealed the bail of almost three million that the Court of Auditors claims.
The name of Marcel Pascual Forns and it may be for a reason similar to this. The founder of Greens Power Products and Honda dealer usually invites the Mas-Rakosnik marriage almost every year, as he himself has told Vanitatis. This businessman, a native of Sant Vicenç de Castellet, a town on the outskirts of Barcelona, is Mas’s friend for 30 years and he likes to entertain his loved ones with an invitation to his Pitiusan home.
This year, his friends have agreed in a special way, since Pascual’s wife, Pilar Forcada, passed away last May, news that has left the family devastated. Pascual and Forcada have two children and four grandchildren, and in these hard times the support of friends is vital for the businessman, something that he also tells us in a telephone conversation.
The getaway to Ibiza and Formentera It has been at full speed, with flights in Pascual’s private jet, a visit to the Sluiz fashion store, lunch at the delicious Sa Nansa and a stay at the businessman’s house in Formentera. From there, they sailed through the waters of the Mediterranean in a Sunseeker superyacht with capacity for nine passengers and three crew members. And everything paid by the businessman except the ferry from Ibiza to Formentera, they point out. A more than appealing plan.
