About Demon Slayer: Temporada 2
The franchise has its origin in the manga Kimetsu no Yaiba, written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge. The work was serialized in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump between 2015 and 2020, being compiled in 23 volumes by the Shūeisha publishing house. The first season of its anime adaptation aired between April and September 2019, while the sequel film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train premiered on October 16, 2020 in theaters in Japan. The film began to be shown on April 22 in Mexico and other Latin American countries.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Entertainment District Arc will adapt the eighth story arc of the original Gotōge manga, where Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu accompany Tengen Uzui, the Pillar of Sound, on a mission to Yoshiwara to find his missing wives, who were investigating rumors about demons within the red light district.
The production will continue to be in charge of director Haruo Sotozaki and the same staff Ufotable main (Fate/stay night) who has worked on previous franchise projects. The series will also feature the return of the original Japanese voice cast led by Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado) and Akari Kitō (Nezuko Kamado).
