The spokesperson for Más Madrid in the regional Assembly, Mónica García, has asked for explanations this Monday from the Government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Mercedes González, after the performance of the National Police in the demonstration in Madrid by Samuel, the young man who died as a result of the injuries caused by a beating that a group of people gave him.

We do not understand the disproportionality of the actions of the police in these images after the concentration asking for #JusticiaPorSamuel. We demand an explanation, Mercedes González, “García wrote on the social network Twitter.

Mónica García has thus referred to the clashes that have taken place in the Madrid neighborhood of Argüelles during the demonstration, which began at 8:00 p.m. at Puerta del Sol. The riot police have surrounded the protesters at the intersection between Alberto Aguilera and Princesa streets, which has made them unable to continue their march towards Moncloa or towards Spain Square. At around 10:30 p.m., police charges were registered against some of the protesters.

For his part, the leader of Más País, Íñigo Errejón, has also announced that it will request explanations from the Government of Pedro Sánchez for what, in its opinion, has been a “disproportionate” police action.

“This disproportionality after the #JusticiaPorSamuel rally is incomprehensible. We will ask the Government for explanations,” Errejón said in a message posted on the social network Twitter.
