Extremadura closes two towns due to the increase in infections and other CCAA review their measures

The coronavirus infections have soared a week after Spain say goodbye to outdoor masks. The last to do so was Extremadura, where the Regional Government Council met this Sunday and agreed to request judicial authorization to proceed with the perimeter closure of the Cáceres towns of Malpartida de Plasencia and Torrejoncillo as both were in a situation of “very high risk. high ”due to the incidence of Covid.

In fact, since last Monday, June 28, the community notified 53 cases, the indicators have not stopped increasing – to the point of doubling the incidence. Already on Thursday, the Minister of Health and Social Services, José María Vergeles, did not rule out “going back” in some measures if the incidence exceeded 150 cases.
