Chef Xavier Sagristà dies at 61

The chef of the Castell Peralada Restaurant, Xavier Sagristà, passed away last Wednesday At 61 years old because of a cancer that had been diagnosed about three months ago, according to sources close to the cook confirmed this Friday.

Among others, Sagristà worked in the kitchens of El Bulli together with Toni Gerez, with whom started the new gastronomic project of the Castle of Peralada, after its stage in Mas Pou de Avinyonet de Puigventós.
