The government press conference of Sao Paulo this Tuesday, 29, was marked by the presence of many politicians and authorities, generating crowd. At the opening of his speech, the governor João Doria he requested apologies by the situation. “I wanted to leave our apologies here, we didn’t imagine such a large number of people who could come in the morning, otherwise we would have done it in the auditorium. On behalf of the government, I convey our apologies for the circumstance, the discomfort and the crowding. Fortunately, they are all protected, the doors are open, we have ventilation. Even so, here is an apology to everyone”, he said. The government announced the SP Acolhe program, which will pay a monthly aid of R$300 to vulnerable people who have lost relatives to the Covid-19. The benefit will be paid in six installments between the month of July and December 2021. According to the government, the initiative will benefit more than 11,000 families enrolled in the CadÚnico, with a monthly income of up to three minimum wages and who have lost at least a relative for the disease. The investment will be R$ 20 million. Registration can be made through the Bolsa do Povo website and the first installment will be paid on July 20th.
