Tierra de Sabor will take its agri-food products to the most important fairs of the sector in Spain in 2022 under the umbrella of the institutional exhibitor of the guarantee brand and opens a period for interested entities and companies to request their participation.

The Official Gazette of Castilla y León (Bocyl) publishes this Wednesday the participation next year of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development in the most relevant agri-food events in the country.

Under the institutional display of the Tierra de Sabor guarantee brand, the aim is to support companies in the Community in promoting their products and in the opening of new markets, as well as facilitating business contact with professionals in the sector who attend these shows or contests.

The Ministry will be present in 2022 in the six most important agri-food fairs to be held in Spain: Barcelona Wine Week, Meat Attraction, Alimentaria, Salón de Gourmets, Fenavin and Fruit Attraction.

All of them will be attended with the institutional exhibitor of Tierra de Sabor, an umbrella under which Castilla y León helps agri-food companies to promote their products.

Participation in these events seeks to consolidate, in the national market, the image and positioning of Castilla y León as a Community that produces quality food, with a wide presence in all subsectors of the food market and to facilitate the commercial contact of companies and figures. quality agri-food with the many professionals from the sector who attend these fairs as distributors, restaurants, specialized trade and gourmet shops.

It is also about transferring a professional and innovative concept of the agri-food sector of the Community, both through the institutional stand itself, with the image of Tierra de Sabor as a framework for all quality agri-food production in Castilla y León, as well as through the activities carried out in its interior, as well as transmitting the dynamism of the sector highlighting the novelties presented by the industries.

The first of the contests that Castilla y León will attend with the Tierra de Sabor stand in 2022 will be Barcelona Wine Week, to be held in this city from February 7 to 9.

Meat Attraction will be the second destination for products protected by Tierra de Sabor. The international fair for the meat sector will be held in Madrid from March 8 to 10. It will be followed by Alimentaria, the international food, beverage and food service fair that will take place from April 4 to 7 in Barcelona.

The next event in which the companies of the Community will participate under the umbrella of the guarantee brand will be the Salon de Gourmets, which will take place in Madrid from April 25 to 28.

The excellent agro-food products of Tierra de Sabor will then travel to the National Wine Fair (Fenavin), the most important event in the wine sector in Spain, which will take place in Ciudad Real from 10 to 12 May.

The products covered by the yellow heart will also be represented again at Fruit Attraction, the benchmark event dedicated to fruit and vegetables that will be held in October 2022.


Thus, until July 30, the agri-food companies, regulatory councils of designations of origin and protected geographical indications, as well as the Council of Ecological Agriculture may request participation in institutional stands to carry out promotional activities in these contests.

There will also be a place in the space managed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, associations of quality wines, managers of quality brands or local wines, the Association of Food Artisans of Castilla y León, associations of agri-food producers of the Community and the consortiums of agri-food companies of Castilla y León.

In addition, the agri-food industries of the Community may request participation in the institutional stand for marketing activities only for the exhibition of products originating in Castilla y León.

Among the allocation criteria taken into account for its award, quality figures will have priority that, in addition to promoting themselves as their own entity within the requested space, promote and support the marketing and exhibition of branded products of the companies covered under the quality figure. .

In the case of companies, priority will be given to those that are authorized to use the Tierra de Sabor brand for some of its products, that they are registered and active in the guarantee brand market, marketing on the online platform at least one product authorized under Tierra de Sabor and that their national and international expansion plan is aimed at the opening and consolidation of New markets.

To facilitate registration, the electronic application processing has been enabled in such a way that they can request participation in one or all of the competitions.
