The term of office of the judge of the Constitutional Court Tamaz Tsabutashvili, appointed by the quota of the President of Georgia, expires on July 26

TBILISI, June 29 – Sputnik. Until July 7, the President of Georgia accepts applications from those wishing to take the vacant position of a judge of the Constitutional Court, the presidential administration reports.

The judges of the Constitutional Court are elected for 10 years. Three judges are appointed by the President of Georgia, three by the Parliament, and three by the Supreme Court. On July 26, the powers of the judge of the Constitutional Court, Tamaz Tsabutashvili, who was appointed by the quota of the President of Georgia, expire.

Now the presidential administration accepts applications from candidates for the vacant position of the judge. Applicants must submit their CV and documents confirming their qualifications.

A citizen of Georgia over 35 years old with a higher legal education and work experience in the specialty for at least 10 years can become a judge of the Constitutional Court. The salary of an ordinary judge of the Constitutional Court is 6 thousand lari.
