The Medical Confederation of the Argentine Republic (COMRA) claims the bonus owed to health personnel for their work in a pandemic.

Through a statement, the confederation – which is part of the Medical College of Tucumán – warned the concern and fatigue of professionals in the sector due to the unfulfilled promises and the government’s management in the face of the pandemic.

“Among other issues, the month of June is about to end and we had no news of the bonus for health personnel in the public and private sectors,” the statement said.

“The professionals who support the system today are busy caring for the pandemic. Several months of unfulfilled promises and incentives went by that never came, exhaustion is already chronic, both physically and mentally ”, warns COMRA.

According to the organization, “in the face of a new wave, human resources are about to say enough in the face of so much indolence,” giving a glimpse of a possible measure of staff strength.

“The best way to face this scenario is with the urgent provision of vaccines and a massive campaign that covers the entire population at risk. However, there is still a lack of active testing and tracking of positive cases to improve epidemiological surveillance in the face of the threat of another variant that once again puts the entire society at risk due to the low levels of vaccination ”, concludes the confederation of Argentine doctors.
