The Tax agency requires the Real Madrid to garnish the salary of his new coach, the Italian Carlo Ancelotti, to pay off a debt of 1.420.120,51 euros. At the same time, the 35th Court of Instruction of Madrid has just charge you with a tax offense and I will have to declare the next July 23th.

The Treasury has sent an order to the club, to which EL MUNDO has had exclusive access, by means of which it demands that all the income received by the new technician be made available to the Treasury to settle, on the one hand, a tax debt of 1,396,875.33 euros. And, on the other, 23,245.18 euros for late payment interest.

The Special Delegation of Finance in Madrid has sent this communication to Real Madrid in record time, only 48 hours after having knowledge of the hiring of Ancelotti to replace Zinedine Zidane. In parallel, he has sent a copy to the Italian coach’s home in Madrid.

The reason for this communication lies in the judicial procedure that Ancelotti has open in Spain after the Prosecutor denounced him for the commission of two alleged tax offenses during his first stage as a technician for the white club.

The Treasury argument

The Treasury maintains that despite the fact that the Italian coach resides in Spain between exercises 2013 and 2015, did not correctly declare in our country his income from both Real Madrid and his image rights. The Public Ministry argues that Ancelotti acted “with the intention of unjustifiably evading their obligations with the public treasury “.

Ancelotti’s fiscal problem lies in the fact that he channeled all his income through an English company that had been established since his time as a technician of the Chelsea.

Thus, 10% tax compared to 45% required by regulations Spanish prosecutor, who also claims that being a resident in Spain he had to fully declare his income in our country.

In parallel, the Court of Instruction number 35 of Madrid has summoned Ancelotti on July 23 as a defendant for a tax offense to declare and explain the tax operation that he used to pay less.

The Treasury claims in 2014 the payment of some 300.000 euros in addition to the 3.2 million already paid. In 2015, season in which they paid 7 million in taxes, the claim for 675,000 euros ms.

In this way, Ancelotti becomes the new star of the world of football immersed in a criminal process instituted by the Treasury, as players under his command such as Cristiano Ronaldo or Marcelo. From now on, the coach must decide whether to reach an agreement with the Treasury by paying the tax debt and the corresponding fine or if, on the contrary, he decides to oppose the tax ruling and face a trial for tax crime with the risk of ending with a penalty that involves his imprisonment.
