With the premises of self-criticism, reflection and work to respond to the militancy, but above all to society, Gerardo Priego Tapia announced this Monday in Mexico City that he will seek to lead the leadership of the PAN in the next election process.

The announcement was made within the framework of the Forum “The PAN that Mexico Needs” in which Francisco Ramírez Acuña, former governor of Jalisco, Francisco Fraile former legislator of Puebla and Laura Fernández de Cevallos, a Queretan politician, also participated.

Priego Tapia said that the PAN must be an open, transparent party, in which the people trust so that the same society embraces and protects it.

The former federal deputy and former candidate for the Governor of Tabasco assured that the PAN is the party that must go to meet and accompany civil society and citizens’ associations that so much despises and mistreats the President of the Republic, since it is the strongest opposition party.

The PAN from Tabasco, spoke out for self-criticism within the Albiazul political institute, because society demands it, he assured, and as an example he spoke of the results of June 6, in what corresponds to the PAN, although the results had good results in Chihuahua and Querétaro, it will be necessary to review why the elections were lost in the other 13 governorships that were disputed.

For his part, Francisco Ramírez Acuña stressed the importance of the PAN leaders and future candidates being people who are challenged by their past and public present, in order to be able to speak clearly about what is not working in the party and in the government. .

“We need a serious, responsible, mature party, with a vision of the future and PAN authorities with the courage to face the opposition. With leaders of great value, consistency in their private life, so that in their public life they can raise their heads and say things as they should be said up front ”.

On the other hand, Francisco Fraile, from Puebla, said that “the time has come for the PAN to think like PAN and those who want to be candidates are outside the party’s government systems.”
