Natural gas has risen in price for everyone, after the large gas distribution company Tbilisi Energy, small companies have also raised their tariffs to their consumers

TBILISI, June 29 – Sputnik. Residents of Varketili, Gldani and Mukhiani in Tbilisi will pay eight tetri more for natural gas from July 1, according to a statement on the website of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC).

At the end of May, GNERC revised the tariffs for natural gas for Tbilisi Energy, which supplies natural gas to the central districts of the capital. From June 1, up to 500 thousand subscribers of the company pay for gas by eight tetri more – 53.972 tetri, including VAT.

The Commission decided to adjust tariffs for small gas distribution companies. The new tariff will be valid until October 31, 2022 inclusive.

Thus, 16 thousand Varketilar subscribers will pay 57,062 tetri per 1 m3, instead of 48, 677 tetri.

The Energosoyuz company, which serves 12 thousand subscribers in Gldani and Mukhiani, will pay 57,794 tetri, instead of 49,443 tetri per 1 m3.

In addition, the tariff for consumer gas from July 1 will increase by five tetri for residents of the Senaki municipality in western Georgia.

Up to 9 thousand subscribers of Gasco + gas distribution company will pay 53.351 per 1 m3 instead of 48,301 tetri.

The decision to revise the tariffs was made by GNERC on the basis of the companies themselves, taking into account the depreciation of the national currency of Georgia.
