Businessman Carlos Slim Helú was seen once more entering the National Palace, just seven days after having a first meeting with the president Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The first meeting was held after the Norwegian company DNV gave a preliminary opinion pointing out various deficiencies in the construction of the Line 12 of the Metro, in which the consortium made up of ICA and Carso, owned by Slim, participated.

At that meeting, the head of government of the Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, and it was indicated that they addressed issues to repair as soon as possible the public transport line that runs from Tláhuac to Mixcoac.

On this occasion, upon arrival at the National Palace, the businessman avoided giving statements about the reason for his visit, but it occurs one day after the announcement of the departure of Florencia Serranía as director of the Metro and the arrival of Guillermo Calderón in his place.

The second visit of the owner of América Móvil orIt was almost a month after the collapse of an elevated section of Metro Line 12 on May 3, in which 26 people died and another 80 were injured.

The construction company of Slim, Carso Infrastructure and Construction, carried out the section of the line that collapsed.
