Sea rescue has come to the rescue this morning, almost ten kilometers from Gran Canaria, at a cayuco with 37 occupants, two of whom had died, according to sources from the emergency services.
The cayuco was located after midnight and its occupants were transferred to the Arguineguín pier so that they received the first assists.
There were 35 men on board, including the two deceased, and two women.
Seven of the men required transfer to the island’s hospitals, three of them in serious condition and four with a moderate prognosis, details the 112 of the Canary Islands.
Among the survivors there are five possible minors.
The location of this cayuco has taken place after another 338 immigrants arrived this weekend in nine boats to the Canary Islands.
