The former head of the UDEF of the National Police and CITCO, José Luis Olivera, has tried to position himself as “a victim” of this whole situation and has tried to discredit Inspector Morocho, in his statement as a defendant in the National Court for being part , supposedly, of the gear that made the Kitchen operation possible, of theft of evidence from Bárcenas that could harm the PP or its leaders in the case of its box b.
Olivera has denied that he tried to buy him with a juicy fate so that he would not investigate box b of the PP, that he boycotted investigations of the Gürtel or delayed the presentation of reports harmful to the conservative formation.
However, he has conceded to questions from the judge, Manuel García Castellón, who seemed to him a “barbarity” the transfer of Morocho from the XXI Group of the UDEF to the Deputy Operational Directorate of the National Police while he was investigating the PP. He has stated that in his opinion, the movement was due to the fact that they wanted to “keep him entertained.”
Olivera has also denied that she knew Cospedal or her husband, Ignacio López del Hierro. The current security officer of the Spanish Football Federation, has only answered questions posed by his own lawyer and by the judge, who at the end of the interrogation, has questioned the credibility of his testimony, by blurting out that he should review the recordings that are in the possession of the investigation and in which Olivera himself is listened to, because “they contradict almost everything that the accused has said”.
