ELECTIONS – It was the other ballot of this early summer, much less publicized than the regional ones. But the conclusion is broadly similar: the physiognomy of the map of France is not upset at the end of the second round which also took place on Sunday 27 June. In France, the number of swings is very low, since only six departments change sides.

As you can see in the map at the top of the article, the balance therefore remains very favorable to the right, which also delights some historic bastions of the left: this is the case in Puy-de-Dôme, but also and especially in Val-de-Marne where the Communists are losing control. last department they headed.

Conversely, the left becomes the majority in the Côtes-d’Armor and Charente.

These local elections were not favorable to the National Rally, which failed to switch departments and which is disappearing from certain territories. However, it remains in the position of arbiter in Vaucluse, one of its main bastions.

On the personalities side, ministers Sébastien Lecornu (Eure), Gérald Darmanin (Nord) and Brigitte Bourguignon (Pas-de-Calais) won by a wide margin, as did Marine Le Pen in her canton of Hénin-Beaumont. We will also note the victory of Claude Chirac who will perpetuate the family presence in Corrèze.
