The prince Carlos recently gave an interview in which he spoke of the relationship he has with his eldest son. In a clip released on Twitter, the eldest son of Isabel II remember a time when William left him in tears.
It all happened when the documentary series “Prince Charles: Inside the Duchy of Cornwall” was released, in 2019. In this production. Prince William came out talking about having started to think about the possibility of inheriting the duchy of Cornwall: “It’s something very important, from the family’s point of view. I started thinking about the fact that I was going to inherit the duchy one day and about what I could do”. William also mentioned that he intended, one day, to pass this responsibility on to one of his children as well.
The son’s words moved Carlos: “I was in tears. For me, hearing that from him, made me feel that my work for the last 50 years had been worth it”. The prince continues to explain what he felt: “I saw it and couldn’t believe it. What he said touched me very deeply.”
It is recalled that the duchy of Cornwall was created in 1337 and has been in the hands of Prince Charles since 1952. It is a title and a responsibility that the eldest son of the Queen of England proudly holds.
