The PSP ended at dawn on Monday with a party, with around 50 people, in a bar located on Rua Simão Bolívar, in Maia, having also dispersed hundreds of people who gathered in Cordoaria, in Porto.

Speaking to Lusa, a source of Public Relations at the Metropolitan Command of Porto at PSP said that the bar in Maia was closed at 2:20 am, with around 50 people inside, without complying with the security rules against covid. -19, been identified.

According to the source, this is not the first time that PSP has closed that nightlife establishment for the same reasons.

The police went to the place after receiving a complaint, having then verified “the non-compliance with the rules” and proceeded to close it.

In Porto, in the Cordoaria area, the PSP also had to disperse hundreds of people who were on public roads without complying with the safety rules imposed by the covid-19 pandemic.

“People obeyed the agents’ orders and dispersed,” the source added.

On Sunday, Portugal had over 30 people hospitalized with covid-19, with 1,496 new cases of infection by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and one death attributed to the disease in the last 24 hours.

In the latest epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) it is noted that 477 people are hospitalized with covid-19, the highest number since April 12, when 479 people were hospitalized.

In intensive care units there are 116 people, three of whom admitted in the last 24 hours.
