After the judicial mediation failed, Alberto Fernández filed a lawsuit for $ 100 million against the former Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, who accused the Government of requesting a “return” to the Pfizer laboratory to reach an agreement for the purchase of vaccines against the coronavirus. Far from retracting, and although the company denied it before Congress, the PRO head ratified his statements.

The defense of the President is in charge of the lawyer Gregorio Dalbón who, through his account of the social network Twitter, this Sunday confirmed that at the request of the president he advanced with this lawsuit.

“The President of the Nation filed a lawsuit against Bulrich for ($ 100 Million). The defamation in relation to the negotiations with the PFIZER laboratory vaccine enters the judicial stage, ”he wrote. He also added that “the President @alferdez will donate all the compensation to the Malbrán Institute as he said.”

As reported by the Télam agency, sources from the presidential environment indicated that the president “does not care about the economic,” that it will be donated, but that “he will ask that the sentence be read in those channels that echoed Bullrich’s statements that the The government tried to place an intermediary in the negotiation with Pfizer to obtain a return and that this was not alien to the President ”.

Fernández and Bullrich had reached a first instance of mediation on Friday, June 18, but the conciliatory hearing, which took place virtually, lasted less than half an hour and both parties expressed there that they did not want to reach an agreement but instead decided move forward with judgment.

The President participated in that virtual hearing from the Casa Rosada, where he was accompanied by Dalbón, while the former Minister of Security of the Cambiemos government was accompanied by two lawyers.

On several occasions Bullrich said that he will not withdraw his statements about the frustrated agreement with Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccines and, on the contrary, ratified his words that generated a strong reaction from the former Minister of Health Ginés González García, pointed out as the person responsible for requesting “A return” of money to close the deal. Bullrich’s words were denied by Pfizer and denounced by both the former minister and the President.

On May 28, Fernández reported her to court. He chose the lawyer Gregorio Dalbón (who also defends Cristina Kirchner) to initiate a cause of damages, in the civil jurisdiction, before the alleged “defamation.”

To this was added the complaint of the lawyer Gaspar Uriel Tizio, director of Judicial Affairs of the Ministry of Health, to inform the federal justice of Bullrich’s sayings and asked that his accusation be investigated “since they may undermine the confidence of the population in vaccines and could impact on the ongoing negotiations, “indicated official sources familiar with the presentation. He settled in Comodoro Py and went to the María Servini court.
