In dialogue with Canal N, the head of the INS, Víctor Suárez, explained that it will be “difficult” to apply the epidemiological fence in Comas because there are no “real borders” between districts and because of the “social and economic activities”That are developed in these areas.
“The social movement is very dynamic and is related to social and economic activities, I think it is difficult, we do not have real borders between Commas and what are the other districts”, Expressed Suárez.
“And probably these contacts that have been identified in Comas have, in turn, contacts in other districts, so that indication that is mentioned would not be very practical.”He added.
“What is being done is the epidemiological fence, which in these cases means contact tracing, a list has been made of all the contacts of the case that has been identified and all these cases are being searched and, in turn, generating a new contact list to identify new people who could eventually be carriers of this Delta variant to indicate home isolation”Said the head of the INS.
Earlier, the Vice Minister of Public Health, Gustavo Rosell, explained that a team has been sent to Comas, made up of specialists from the National Center for Epidemiology and Disease Control (CDC), the National Institute of Health (INS) and the Directorate of Integrated Health Networks (Diris) Lima Norte, to establish the epidemiological history and confirmed contacts.
