Tultepec.- On Friday, June 25, in the afternoon, a clandestine fireworks workshop exploded in the municipality of Tultepec, State of Mexico (Edomex) leaving one person dead and four wounded.

The Santa Rita neighborhood, Calle Pensamientos, is where the address that contained the flammable products is located according to information published by the General Coordination of Civil Protection of the Edomex.

A woman around 56 years of age would be the deceased, while the injured would be three women and one man, all of them transferred by medical personnel to the Regional Hospital of High Specialty of Zumpango (HRAEZ).

After the report made to the emergency services, members of the Municipal Police, the Secretary of Security, Civil Protection and the Tultepec Fire Department came to the site.

Experts and investigators from the Edomex Attorney General’s Office also arrived to carry out their pertinent tasks and proceed to lift the body.

Unofficial information indicates that the detonation was due to alleged mishandling of products made from gunpowder.
