When will the results of the second presidential election be released? The JNE explains

The agency scheduled the first of a series of hearings to evaluate and resolve in the same session, 10 appeals to resolutions of special electoral juries (JEE) of Pasco, Huari, Huaraz, Arequipa and Chota. The diligence will begin at 9:30 am and will be led by the president of the JNE, Jorge Luis Salas Arenas.

The referee scheduled the first hearing to attend 10 cases in which the Fujimori party assures that there was forgery of signatures of board members.

Although Fujimori will continue the process in freedom, the judge accepted the prosecutor’s argument and said that the defendant broke one of the restrictions: not to communicate with the witnesses in the case of the alleged illegal contributions to her electoral campaigns in 2011 and 2016.
As the judge explained, he did not issue preventive detention as there was no prior warning against Fujimori to comply with the restrictions.

Keiko Fujimori breached one of the restrictions imposed by the Judicial Power and, if he violates the prohibitions again, the prosecutor José Domingo Pérez may request preventive detention against him. That was the warning that Judge Víctor Zúñiga made, in the resolution that he issued this Monday afternoon.
