Between Prince Charles and Prince Harry, relations are no longer in good shape. And the heir to the throne of England does not seem ready to take the first step towards his youngest son. Find out why below.
Nothing is going on with the Windsors since the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in America. And their recent shocking statements about the royal family suggest that the split is final between the Sussexes and the monarchy.
However, the funeral of Prince Philip, which took place on April 17, could have allowed the rebel prince to get closer to his family. But the latter would have received an icy welcome from them when he returned to the country to bury the patriarch. Which did not really make him want to linger there.
Upon his return to California, the one who has just been a father for the second time has again let loose in interviews, showing himself rather scathing towards his family. And especially towards his father, Prince Charles, who would always have preferred put duty before affect. To the detriment of the well-being of his youngest son, who however recognized that his father’s fate was already mapped out.
Prince Harry still seems very affected by the death of his mother, which occurred in August 1997, and spoke of a difference in treatment between him and his older brother, William. But paradoxically, if he has never hidden his grudge against the paparazzi, whom he has always considered responsible for the death of Lady Diana, the young dad now uses the press to spit on the monarchy.
Overwhelmed by the attitude of his younger brother, Prince Charles would have chosen to distance himself from the latter. Although they spoke soon after the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral, the father and the son would not have managed to get along. And according to some specialists, Prince Charles would not be the type to go to conflict. Too, would he have simply preferred to cut ties with the Sussexes.
“A sensitive man”
According to Stewart Pearce, the former vocal coach of Lady Diana, the eldest son of Elizabeth II would have “great difficulty in bearing the criticisms of Harry”, because of his great sensitivity. And to develop:
He is a very, very shy, very sensitive and delicate man. We see his public figure but in private he is extremely sensitive.
Still according to the author of the book Diana, The Voice of Change, the heir to the throne of England would rather the type to run away from conflict rather than having to face problems :
He has become distant. Because of his sensitivity, he prefers to hide.
So, will Prince Harry take the first step towards his father?
