The National Police has released a pregnant woman who was held at home from the Madrid district of Carabanchel by her partner who, according to the victim, had mistreated her and tried to suffocate her on several occasions.

The events occurred during the morning of this Thursday after a citizen called 091 alerting that he had seen a woman throwing a handwritten note by a window in which he asked for help, the Police reported.

When the agents arrived at the scene they were able to hear the screams of the victimGiven the refusal to open the door, they had to enter the house by force.

At that moment, the alleged assailant jumped out of the window but was intercepted in the garage of the building after hitting and injuring several policemen. The woman said that her partner had her locked in the house and that he had taken her mobile phone to leave her incommunicado.

He assured that that night he had attacked her with kicking and punching, even in the belly, and that he tried to suffocate her several times.

The agents found numerous doses of narcotic substances, as well as supplies for sale and several cartridges for a firearm.

The man was arrested as allegedly responsible for a Crime against public health, illegal detention, mistreatment and attack against an agent of the authority.
