PGR sends Oswaldo Eustáquio a request for release to the STF

Opinion was sent to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, who must decide on the matter within five days

The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) asked this Thursday, 17, the freedom of the journalist Oswaldo Eustáquio, in an opinion signed by the Deputy Attorney General of the Republic, Humberto Jacques. Eustace’s defense had already asked for his release earlier this month. The request has been sent to the minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), which needs to decide on the topic within five days. In the order, the deputy prosecutor asks the body to elucidate directly and specifically the restrictive measures of rights that it wants to be lifted. A request for the freedom of activists was also sent to the cabinet of Minister Alexandre de Moraes: Sara Fernanda Giromini, Renan de Morais, Érica Viana de Souza, Emerson Rui Barros dos Santos, Arthur Castro and Daniel Miguel.
