“My foot got stuck in the door”
Remember, the June 16, 2020, Marine El Himer’s twin had an accident which had also delayed her entry into Marseille vs the rest of the world. Indeed, Océane unfortunately got her foot stuck in the metro door. And it was in tears that she confided in her community, the day after this big incident which disabled her for many months:
I made the mistake of putting on my headphones so I didn’t hear the metro doors close. My foot got stuck in the door. In trying to remove it, my kneecap moved. What amazes me is that there was no security. Clearly, if I hadn’t managed to get my foot off, I would take the metro.
A traumatic event that required more than 5 hours in the emergency room and resulted in a serious diagnosis. So, according to doctors, Océane suffered a fracture of her patellar tendon. A real blow for the former athlete who had to stop sport for a year and undergo surgery and many hours of rehabilitation …
“In life you should never let go”
Tuesday June 16, 2021, the sister of Marine El Himer decided to take stock a year after her serious accident. It is therefore via her Instagram account that she took the floor to take stock of her community. Very proud of her determination and motivation, the candidate posted a video accompanied by photos that retrace her evolution. Never let go. Today, it’s been 1 year to the day since my accident happened. If there is one thing that I learned during this stage of my life, it is not to give up hope, to always persevere and to never give up. During my MRI, the doctor told me. announced that I would not be able to resume sport for 1 year and that I would never recover my level before. Today, thanks to my determination, I am posting this video to you to prove to you that in life you should never let go.
