The organizing committee of the Performing Arts Max Awards, organized by the SGAE Foundation, this Friday, unanimously, awarded the Max Honor Award 2021 to the actress Gemma Raven, in recognition of his more than six decades dedicated to the stage. The committee has highlighted “his vast career as an interpreter “, in addition to recognizing their work “as a theatrical businesswoman and her commitment to the repertoire”.
“I’m floating, floating in hope and gratitude,” the actress confessed in statements to the SER after hearing the news. Cuervo will collect the award on October 4 on the stage of the Arriaga Theater in Bilbao, during the gala of the XXIV Max Awards that this year will direct Calixto Bieito.
The actress explained that her job has allowed her to “live many lives” and “forget about my personal pain, it is that selfish, my work has allowed me to be many personalities and forget my defects and my sorrows” and considers that she has been fortunate , “loved and well treated” by her colleagues.
“I have always seen that the directors and actors with whom I have worked had consideration and respect for me,” adds Gemma Cuervo, who says she feels “an unprecedented love for acting because this profession has so many beautiful things that cannot be enumerated.”
Born in Barcelona in 1934, Gemma Cuervo studied commercial expertise at the School of Commerce and trained at the Spanish University Theater.
