Mexico.- Two journalists were killed in the last hours in different events in Mexico; is about Gustavo Sanchez Cabrera, who was attacked with bullets this morning in the state of Oaxaca, and Enrique Garcia, who was found shot to death in a vehicle in the State of Mexico.
The murder of the communicators has ignited the alerts in the journalistic union, as well as Human Rights and police authorities.
Around 08:30 hours, Gustavo Sánchez Cabrera, former reporter and editor of the red note in “La Policiaca del Istmo” and current director of the portal Noticias Minuto a Minuto, and Felipe Enrique García, who acted as liaison, was attacked with bullets. of the PRI-PAN-PRD candidate for mayor of San Mateo Atenco, Ana Muñiz, virtual winner of the election.

The attack on the communicator occurred while he was traveling aboard a motorcycle accompanied by his son, on the road that connects the communities of San Vicente and Morro Mazatán, in the Municipality of Santo Domingo Tehuantepec, on the Isthmus.
The General Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Oaxaca reported that it deployed investigators, experts and agents of the Public Ministry at the scene of the events and integrated an investigation folder to find those responsible and quickly clarify the crime.
Sánchez Cabrera had already suffered a shooting attack on July 13, 2020 at his home, for which the Ombudsman for Human Rights of the People of Oaxaca had issued precautionary measures for his protection.
Alleged assault attempt
On the other hand, Enrique García was found shot to death aboard his gray Chevrolet Beat vehicle, which he used to work as a driver on the Didi platform.
The communicator was attacked around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday when he was circulating on Calle 16 de Septiembre, almost on the corner of Calle Miguel Hidalgo, in Colonia San Sebastian, Municipality of Metepec.
According to local media, the first reports suggest that it could be an attempted assault.

The Human Rights Commission of the State of Mexico (Codhem) reported that the Deputy Inspector’s Office for Attention to Journalists and Communicators opened an ex officio investigation for this crime.
The agency demanded that the authorities clarify the facts and issue precautionary measures for his family.
