Salta began vaccination against the coronavirus of people over 25 years of age without risk factors, in operations that showed a large attendance of young people to receive the first dose of the vaccine.

“The opening to the population over 25 years had an excellent call. Many doses are being applied and people do not have to stand in long lines to receive the vaccine”, The medical director of the Covid-19 Recovery Center, Carmen de la Serna, said on Wednesday.

It should be noted that, according to the Public Vaccination Monitor, Salta inoculated until this Tuesday 40.59% of its population over 18 years of age.

This Wednesday, at the Covid-19 Recovery Center, which operates in the Limache Convention Center, in the southern area of ​​the capital of Salta, there was a large movement of young people over 25 years of age who responded to the call framed in the Provincial Vaccination Campaign against Covid-19.

From the vaccination center that operates in that center, they indicated that 2,500 shifts have already been assigned for that age group.

De la Serna said that, at the Limache Convention Center, vaccination logistics are fast and people must wait around 10 minutes, from the moment they arrive until they are inoculated.

In addition, the official explained that Vaccination continues for those over 30 and 40 years of age without risk factors, on spontaneous demand, and for those with different types of comorbidities.

Last week in Salta preturns were enabled for people over 18 years of age, with the purpose of advancing in the design of the different age groups as the Government of the province receives doses from the Nation.
