SCT integrates Investigation Commission to investigate train derailment in Jalisco

Jalisco.-This Tuesday the Ministry of Communication and Transportation (SCT), joined the Investigative Commission to determine the causes that originated the train derailment that occurred at dawn this Tuesday in the municipality of Tala, Jalisco.

Through a statement, the SCT reported that the integration was carried out through the Railway Transport Regulatory Agency (ARTF), where its holder, David Camacho Alcocer He traveled together with specialized technical personnel to carry out a verification tour of the communication route and the railway equipment.

In addition, they will carry out inquiries to determine the possible causes that gave rise to the railway catastrophe.

It was reported that, in accordance with the regulations, the Commission immediately began the collection of information, investigation, analysis and evaluation of physical, administrative and photographic evidence, and all those that were issued via social networks, witnesses, as well as those that are useful for the investigation.

The Investigative Commission will be made up of Legal Affairs, Mtra. Ivonne Ordaz Zavala, as technical secretary; and as members a specialist in the area of ​​infrastructure was appointed, a specialist in the area of
operation and a specialist in the equipment area, who will be the officials
following audiences:

  • Mtro. Baldomero Garza García, General Director of Studies, Statistics and
  • Mexican Railway Registry of ARTF.
  • Ing. Pedro Vacio Cruz, executive director of Verification and Security of the ARTF.
  • Mtro. Jaime Ulises Estévez Hernández, Director of Rail Safety of the
  • ARTF.
