Duisburg: Attention, closures on the Sechs-Seen-Platte – you have to know that now

As the GEBAG Duisburger Baugesellschaft announced, the jogging route will be partially closed in the course of the construction work from June 21st.

In a first step, exploratory work will be carried out in the ground, then a concrete pipe will be laid underground. The pipe will in future lead rainwater into the parallel channel of the regatta course; this serves to implement the concept of the “water-sensitive city” in Duisburg.
Duisburg: Partial closure is planned until the beginning of December
First of all, part of the running route west of the regatta course will be closed (parallel to Elbinger Straße), the full closure will last from June 21st to July 11th – a partial closure is planned until the beginning of December.
From July 12th until July 30th, the part of the running track south of the regatta track (parallel to Wedauer Straße) will be completely closed, with a partial closure until the beginning of December.

Running enthusiasts in Duisburg do not have to do without their workout during the period of the closure: A diversion of the running route will be set up, this runs over the Kiefernweg and the Nachtigallenweg over the Kalkweg to Wedauer Straße.
This increases the length of the running route by around one kilometer.

Important information for all residents and drivers: From July 5th, Masurenallee will be partially closed between the junction with Wedauer Straße and house number 258.
