The Swedish company IKEA and Sonos have just launched a new smart speaker to the SYMFONISK family. It is a way of camouflaging the speaker and unites art and music in a single concept.
Sonos brings the know-how to create this box together with IKEA to offer a surround sound system. It can be hung on the wall or left in desktop mode or leaning against the wall.
This is the second collaboration between IKEA and Sonos since in 2019 we saw the arrival of the first smart speakers. At that time they were pure loudspeakers and in lamp format.
This time we are facing a altavoz Wi-Fi that allows synchronization with a mobile from the Sonos app and create a multimedia playback environment both independently and in conjunction with more speakers.
There are two basic models, white or black, with a very neutral pattern that can fit into any room. Anyway they will also be put on sale different fronts that give a touch of color for 16 euros.
The measurements of the painting are 57 x 41 x 6 cm and has to be plugged into a socket to work. It is this point that could end this illusion that it is a pure painting.
We will have to see how it finally sounds Although if we listen to the words of Sara Morris, product manager at Sonos, the new design promises:
“Sonos’ acoustic design means the frame and speaker deliver impressive sound despite their compact form, and setup is easy and intuitive with the Sonos app. This collaboration continues to deliver exciting new ideas that will bring incredible sound experiences to homes around the world; We hope to offer more unique items together in the future.“.
Will go on sale next July 15 at a price of 199 euros both in the online store and in physical IKEA stores.
