40% of those over 18 years of age in the country have already received the first dose against covid-19

Four out of 10 people over 18 years of age in the country have already received the first dose of immunization within the framework of the Strategic Vaccination Plan that the national government carries out against covid-19.

According to official data, out of a universe of 33,864,636 people, 13,223,188 have already received the first dose of some of the vaccines that are distributed in Argentina: Sputnik V, Sinopharm or Astrazeneca / Covishield. This implies that 39.04% of the population over 18 years of age began the immunization process.

In this context, and according to the criteria established by the Ministry of Health, based on the number of inhabitants of each district and the distribution of vaccines, the map of those over 18 years immunized with the first dose until yesterday was made up as follows: Province of Buenos Aires, 4,964,531 vaccinated (39.02%); Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, 1,181,159 (42.21%); Catamarca, 119,176 (38.61%); Chaco, 320,985 (35.39%); Chubut, 161,184 (35.58%); Córdoba, 1,122,454 (39.51%); Corrientes, 304,828 (36.14%); Entre Ríos, 363,519 (34.74%); Formosa, 171,738 (37.61%); Jujuy, 245,977 (43.85%); La Pampa, 119,887 (43.02%); La Rioja, 113,993 (40.79%); Mendoza, 587,970 (41.41%); Missions, 294,043 (31.99%); Neuquén, 181,300 (34.07%); Río Negro, 210,356 (36.32%); Salta, 408,771 (40.59%); San Juan, 210,626 (37.96%); San Luis, 165,848 (43.06%), Santa Cruz, 103,102 (39.70%); Santa Fe, 1,028,971 (38.90%); Santiago del Estero, 277,407 (38.41%); Tierra del Fuego, 53,363 (37.89%); and Tucumán, 512,000 (42.58%).

As can be seen from the data from the Public Vaccination Monitor, the registry online that shows in real time the immunization operation throughout the Argentine territory, until this morning 19,317,490 vaccines were distributed, of which 16,643,769 have already been applied: 13,223,188 people received the first dose and 3,420,581 both.

Since the beginning of the national immunization operation, Argentina has already received 20,677,145 vaccines: 9,415,745 correspond to Sputnik V (7,875,585 from component 1 and 1,540,160 from component 2), 4 million to Sinopharm, 580,000 to Astrazeneca / Covishield, 1,944,000 to Astrazeneca through the Covax mechanism and 4,737,400 to those of Astrazeneca / Oxford, whose active principle was produced in Argentina.
