Gilberto Gil returned to the stage this Sunday, the 13th, to do a June live alongside Juliette Freire, champion of the last edition of “Big Brother Brasil”. Thrilled, they sang Asa Branca, Estrela and Esperando na Janela. “It’s such a beautiful energy,” said the winner of the reality show. “It’s wonderful to have you here, who grew up with these parties,” Gil replied. “It’s our soul dancing forró”, continued the lawyer. The live of just over an hour was broadcast by “Globoplay”, with an open signal for non-subscribers, and the presentation, without an audience, was on the stage of Cidade das Artes, in Rio de Janeiro. In the band that accompanied Gil were his sons Bem, José and Nara. In the repertoire, songs from Gil, Luiz Gonzaga, little sundays and so many other composers.

Gilberto Gil opened the free opening singing Andar com Fé. He continued with Mulher de Coronel, So, yes, Respect Januária, O xote das Meninas, I just want a xodó, Refazenda, among others. After singing Paraíba, Juliette, from Paraíba, took the stage. Gil continued the show, after the participation of BBB, with Procissão and also sang songs such as Madalena, A novelty and Toda Menina Baiana. Gil said little during the presentation, but asked the population for caution and patience. “This year there’s no bonfire again, but some people are venturing out and partying. Caution. Santo Antônio, São João and São Pedro are asking us to wait”, said the musician. With almost an hour and a half of live, already in the final moments, Juliette returned to the stage and, with Gil, sang, once again Esperando na Janela. “Take care of yourselves. Get vaccinated so we’ll be here next year,” she said, leaving the presentation.
