‘Survivors: Honduras Connection’ once again changes its broadcast day. Despite the excellent performance recorded on Monday night, Mediaset Spain has chosen to back down and return the debate to Sunday after fulfilling its mission. Jordi González’s program jumped to Monday night to try to stop the start of the new edition of ‘Mask Singer’. And boy did he. The ‘SV 2021’ debate not only overshadowed the premiere of the mask format, but also snatched the lead of the night, marking its best result to date.
Atresmedia did not take long to react and after Rocío Carrasco’s docuseries (Telecinco) ended, they decided to relocate ‘Mask Singer’ on Wednesday night. The Fremantle format has managed to improve its best share of the season (17%), although for the first time it has fallen below 1.9 million viewers.
‘Conexion Honduras’ returns to Sunday after stopping the start of ‘Mask Singer’
Now, coinciding with Euro 2021, ‘Survivors: Honduras Connection’ returns to its original location, but it does so with a strange strategy that not everyone liked. The debate will start its broadcast on Cuatro (21:40), but it will jump to the Telecinco grid at 23:00, just after the match between the Netherlands and Ukraine teams. Mediaset once again pulls transversality, as is already the case with ‘No Man’s Land’, although this time it will be Cuatro that supports the broadcast of Telecinco and not the other way around.
Grill of Four
– 20:00 ‘Sports Four in the Eurocup
– 20:25 ‘Four a day’ (Weekend)
– 21:30 ‘The time’
– 21:40 ‘Survivors: Honduras Connection’
– 22:55 ‘Fourth millennium’
– 20:25 ‘The Eurocup: together in Mediaset’
– 21:00 ‘UEFA Euro 2021: Netherlands-Ukraine’
– 23:00 ‘Survivors: Honduras Connection’ (Continuation)
– 01:50 ‘Survivors’
With this decision, Mediaset will make the most of the broadcast of the debate, saving this week the new installment of ‘Planeta Calleja’. Jesús Calleja’s program will miss its usual appointment for the second consecutive week, after last Sunday the network scheduled the final of the UEFA Under-21 European Championship (5.4% and 741,000). This Sunday, after the start of ‘Connection Honduras’, the chain will offer a new installment of ‘Fourth millennium’ (10:55 p.m.).
For many viewers it is a New trip from Mediaset Spain to ‘Survivors’, above all, from a lack of respect for its viewers. Only in this way is it understood that this week the chain has broadcast its ‘reality’ for three consecutive nights (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). The adventure format continues to overwhelm the competition, but the great loss of audience it has suffered in this edition is more than remarkable. For others, on the other hand, Mediaset is only looking to exploit and promote its ‘reality’ star, although on the way it makes a good part of the audience dizzy.
