Thief robs business at gunpoint, east of Saltillo

Yesterday afternoon there was an armed robbery in a cell phone business located on La Torre avenue, in the Privadas la Torre subdivision, the person in charge took 70 thousand pesos in merchandise as well as cash.

Joel Alejandro, 31, said that the store located in Magueyes 123, where he sells and repairs telephone sets, came a person with a robust complexion, like any customer.

The man asked him to show him some cell phones, but when he turned around, he took out a firearm from among his belongings and threatened Joel to throw himself on the floor.

Once Joel Alejandro was on the ground, the thief took everything he could in merchandise, money and even the affected person’s cell phone.

Before leaving, the assailant tied Joel with plastic ties. The thief arrived on a motorcycle, but did not use it and fled on foot.

The victim took the opportunity to ask for help from a nearby business and even this person put him in his truck to catch up with the thief.

Realizing that they were coming after him, he made two detonations with the firearm to scare them away.

Municipal Police personnel arrived at the site, but they could not locate the person responsible, they only secured the motorcycle that was left as evidence.


70 thousand pesos was the loot between cash and merchandise.
