The National Police have arrested a couple, a man and a woman of 39 and 42 years of age, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of theft committed in a restaurant in a shopping center in the town of Adeje.
The events occurred during the night of June 4. The employees of a restaurant located in a well-known Adejero shopping center realized that the sculpture of an animal, which was at the entrance, had been stolen. The sculpture, located in the customer waiting area and valued at 900 euros, had been stolen with the establishment open to the public.
In addition, those who carried out the incident must have manipulated it, since it was anchored to one of the banks of the establishment The agents of the National Police, after receiving the complaint of the events, began a series of investigation procedures that They led to the identification of the couple who, allegedly, had committed the theft. After these people were located, the agents proceeded to arrest them and, once at the police station, they were heard in a statement.
The statue, recovered thanks to the police action, was returned to its rightful owners. The facts were brought to the attention of the competent judicial authority through the statement made for that purpose by the National Police. The actions have been carried out by national police officers from the South Tenerife National Police Station.
