They send to prison an alleged murderer of a soccer player

A judge of guarantees in the province of Chiriquí, ordered the provisional arrest of a 27-year-old subject for the crime against life and personal integrity (homicide) to the detriment of a young footballer in an event that occurred in the Lajero community in Nomononi, in the Besikó district in the Nagbe Buglé region.

In multiple hearing, the Public Ministry, through the Homicide and Femicide Specialized Section of the Chiriquí Regional Prosecutor’s Office, represented by Prosecutor Luis Jiménez González, managed to get the JJudge of Guarantees Welcome Arauz, legalize the apprehension, formulation of the accusation and the precautionary measure of provisional detention.

As revealed by the Public Ministry during the hearing, the lifeless body had head injuries caused with a knife (machete).

The Public Ministry has a term of 6 months to conclude the investigations.

The event occurred on May 29 when a local resident found the body that they identified as Alexander Marcucci, 22, a young man from the community of Alto Camarón de Hato Corotu, who had come to Lajero sector to participate in a soccer league.

Witnesses to the event said that the body was located by a resident of the sector who passed by the place and a strong rotten smell caught his attention, as if an animal were dead, but upon approaching he realizes that it was this young man who days before had been seen in the sector participating in this league.

This incident was recorded very close to the place where a family was gagged as a result of an alleged robbery by subjects dressed in Senafront uniforms and where it was confirmed that a unit of this institution is being investigated for the incident.
