The Spanish Emilio Morenatti, Pulitzer Prize winner for his photographs of the impact of the pandemic on the elderly

Jerez-born photographer Emilio Morenatti was awarded this Friday with the Pulitzer Prize for best photo report for its snapshots taken of the elderly in Spain during the coronavirus pandemic.

Morenatti, a photographer for the American news agency Associated Press (AP), was awarded for a series of “moving” snapshots that “lead the public into the lives of the elderly in Spain” facing the epidemic, according to the awards jury.
